very nice indeed

just back from a few wonderful days in Nice where of course, i scoured the markets to increase my vinyl collection. look- minouche barelli only 2euros!!!!!!!!!

we also went to a well intentioned (but not very good) carnival where this was played - the crowd enjoyed it and it made me very happy indeed! and just how camp is this video?!

livres : mlle age tendre

les annees mlle age tendre
287 pages of utter gloriousness! an overview of this iconic magazine from the 60's into the 70's. it features copies of articles and has lots of the wonderful colourful and creative photos we'd expect to see of our favourite dolls. it also has lots of pictures i've never seen before - i just wanted to rip out almost every page and put them on my wall. if, like me, you've bought copies of the original magazines over the years - you'll know how pricey they can be so this is a fantastic (and cheaper) alternative. i have a spare copy too - so get in touch if you want to buy it!

fly me high

this is one of my most favourite songs. written by serge with a lush cinematic production. it's great to see this video - although it feels like a wasted opportunity to really make something more stylish and breathtaking.

livres : sylvie

sylvie vartan - irresistiblement
i've lots of doll related books so i thought a new feature i might add to blowupdoll is sharing them with you! this is a nice big book that is packed with reproductions of sylvies letters, postcards, tickets, souvenir programmes, sheet music, bob mackie costume sketches and a fridge magnet!
i bought it in la rochelle in a bargain bookshop for a great price and it was worth every penny.
highly recommended.
