JANE BIRKIN - PERIODE BLEUE this week is dedicated to an ultimate 60's doll in the 21st century. here is a gorge song from her brand new album 'enfants d'hiver'.
CHRISTINE DELAROCHE - UNE FLEUR yes! a full week was achieved- big thanks to readysteadygirls for sharing this track and large scan of the cover (watch out for a christine page on rsg soon). a great song to finish off this week- it's like a really good sylvie track! enjoy
CHRISTINE DELAROCHE - LE 4EME TITRE
big thanks to franceyeye for helping out with day 6!
this song reminds me of a few early bardot songs (except with less charm!). What do you think?
CHRISTINE DELAROCHE - LES PRINCES D' AUJOURD'HUI why does this sound so billiant? could it be that it was touched by the magic hand of germinal tenas (also responsible for clothilde, chorus reverendus and violaine)?
CHRISTINE DELAROCHE - LA PORTE A COTÉ i am going to try and bring you a whole week of the excellent but often forgotten about christine. she focused more on acting than singing but some of her music is beyond amazing. this being a marvy example.
i think i have enough good songs for a 5 day christine delaroche week - can anyone help me for day 6 and 7?- i am looking for 'demain on se marie', 'une fleur', 'avec des larmes' or 'les bons et les mauvais' - basically any 60's song where she doesn't do the high pitched warbling!
what does every self respecting doll fanatic need? don't know what to buy a loved one for christmas? how about spending some cash on the amazing, soon to be released 'filles fragile 2' album!
blog buddy guuzbourg from the marvy filles sourires has complied this collection of 'pop gems from french demoiselles'. i think it's even better than volume one- it's features gainsbourg influences, songs of love and lolitas, breathy fragile vocals, unknown french singers and established artists like vanessa paradis and carla bruni - but most of all - it's a very satisfying listen.
i'm going to post the opening track from the album - (one of my many favourites on this cd).
it's not often i post email requests from the music industry - but i'm more than happy to say watch carla bruni's video for her new single 'l'amoureuse' - which is taken from one of the best albums of the year - the amazing 'comme si de rien n’était'
and of course you can buy it here: Amazon or iTunes
