On Lou Reed's "Transformer", the female backing vocals are credited to a group called The Thunder Thighs. Do you think this is the same group? Seems like it could be.....

Fun song! I love how you dig these obscurities up. With nothing better to do, I did some intensive research (in other words I "googled" it) and discovered that it is indeed the same group that sang backup for Mr. Reed -- a.k.a. the "colored girls" who sing on "Walk on the Wild Side". They also provided vocal support for Mott the Hoople, most notably on "Roll Away the Stone". Just call me your fact-checking cuz.
