GOOD - i've been waiting for this to surface for a few years..and finally, here it is!!! the feature length documentary on vashti bunyan. just discovered it just now so not watched it yet :)
BAD - i've also just read that her last album "heartleap" will definitely be her last - OH NO :(
UPDATE - after having watched it i was blown away by some of the clips of vashti when she was travelling in her gypsy caravan - this is such a good film. i highly recommend it
went to see vashti bunyan last night. what a legend. she is such a lovely person! her voice is virtually the same as it was years ago - soft and fragile. she sang a great collection of songs from rose hip november to the current album - and she introduced all of them, setting the scene about when and how she wrote the song, all in her slightly apologetic manner. if you get the chance - go see her!
i meant to post this a month or so ago just after i'd been to amsterdam as it was the song of the holiday - played at regular intervals by my husband. so this post is for him. because he is lovely.
