mind the gap
VANESSA PARADIS - SUNDAY MONDAYSit's 15 years since her brilliant 3rd album came out. listening to it today, it is still fresh with excellent 60's influences. if you'd forgotten about this album, or never heard it before- go get it now and listen to it. why isn't there a 15 year anniversary edition released? it's almost a masterpiece.
plus; it had the edie sedgwick 'ciao manhattan' inspired video for 'be my baby'
plus plus; one song features the brilliant line 'we're pissing on all childrens face' (!)
she has new album out too and it's also pretty bloody good!
ps ; i'm having quite a vanessa paradis moment- can you tell?!
and check out filles sourires vp mix tape

Well quite funny 'cos I'm having the same paradise moment as yours ;-) the new album does not have great songs as wonderful as in Bliss (Pourtant/que fait la vie/Lalala song/Bliss) but some tracks like Junior Suite, Dès que j'te vois, la mélodie/l'incendie/la bataille etc. are quite good ;-)

Bloody brilliant album!
Lenny Kravitz was very much the Mark Ronson of his day, wasn't he?

I've not thought about her in years and only have her first album. Thanks for reminding me.
