riot grrrl

dominique seemed to start her music career with some nice mid 60's pop, and by 67 she recorded some great (and incredibly hard to find) songs before becoming more politically, minded and recording protest songs such as this one that dates from mid 68 - around the time of the riots.

best french album of 2011 so far

i was aware of the last yelle album (pop up) and had heard the singles which i thought were ok but didn't particularly grab me - but the new album is AMAZING! think: electropop lio.
