At the risk of sounding like a tosser, I must just point out that this song does not appear in that film. You must be thinking of the similar and equally heart-breaking 'I Will Wait For You'.

It IS the same song- the lyrics may be different (in the film it is a duet) - but the music and the heartbreak that fills the song is the same. And the sentiment is the same too.
