this is genuis! amanda lear goes rogue and leaves disco behind and tries her had a bit of punky rock and roll. it's totally nuts and i love it. great video too - lots of home movie style clips of her in paris circa 81.

mordis book club

i am in the mid way through reading amanda lears story of her time with salvador dali in 'my life with dali'. she writes brilliantly - her life sounds so exciting yet she is filled with melancholy. she even subtly addresses the transsexual issue by saying that dali gave male nicknames to all his female friends that the rumour started that his court consisted of transvestites. he then told everyone amanda was moses and a masculine angelic being! so then a newspaper ran the story that amanda was infact a boy. When she spoke to dali about this he exclaimed "but it is true! ive always said you were neither a boy nor girl".

hmmmm what do you think?!
if you are lucky enough to find a copy of this book, i highly recommend it.
