here is my list of the best of 2015. 

there were some major disappointments (mylene farmer i mean you!) and some that i feel i should of got into but just couldn't be bothered (lou doillon) but also some fantastic music worth checking out if you don't know them.

2015 heralds the year of the saviour of all things doll. she just gets 'it', she gets us! 
her voice is perfect, her song choices couldn't be better (walk on the wide side, sunday mondays - there's loads on youtube). cannot wait for an album

this album got me through the worst year in my life. great tunes, excellent production, some great humour and generally just amazing songs that allowed me to escape during my darkest moments.

ALEX BEAUPAIN - LES GENS DANS L'ENVELOPPE
this is actually a book that has an accompanying cd with it. i don't quite get it - i think isabelle monnin found some photos and created a story out of them then alex used that as inspiration for the music - which is amazing. i say it almost every year - he is a genius

i know nobodys favourite france gall era is the 70s/80s michel berger one, but i thought you might have a mild interest in this - their music together has been made into a musical currently playing in france. watching this hasn't made me whip out my credit card for a ticket but it was nice to see france at the end of the clip being appreciated.
