went to see vashti bunyan last night. what a legend. she is such a lovely person! her voice is virtually the same as it was years ago - soft and fragile. she sang a great collection of songs from rose hip november to the current album - and she introduced all of them, setting the scene about when and how she wrote the song, all in her slightly apologetic manner. if you get the chance - go see her!

great to see marianne faithfull back on form. such a great new album - everything you'd hope for - reflective and melancholic with a range of styles from her heart felt torch song style to some great rocking numbers. highly recommended

was sad to hear about the death of lynsey de paul a few days ago. of course, i loved 'sugar me' (especially claudine longets version), but also 'won't somebody dance with me' and the cross-dressing themed 'getting a drag'
