disappointment of the decade
wonderful songs. terrible terrible film.
this trailer makes it looks like fun - it's not.
it starts out light and fun and then just dissolves into a mess of misery and characters you couldn't care less about. i knew it wasn't going to be anywhere near as good as les chanson d'amour - but i never imagined it could be this bad. such a shame.

Oof. Considering I thought les chanson d'amour was bad, I'd probably find this excruciating. Christophe Honoré is not a good director!

That's too bad. I haven't seen Les Bien-Aimés yet, but judged by the poster I expected a 21 century Les parapluies de Cherbourg, one of the best films ever, by the magic Jacques Demy.

it's certainly not a 21st century les parapluies.... that is my favourite film ever - nothing could beat that!
