It sounds like the Dance of the Hours from La Gioconda, which is also what "Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh" sounds like.

It's a cover.

Is C'est Pas La Peine the song Les Calamites covered (as Pas La Peine)?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 14 February, 2009 22:07

No, it isn't.

Also Nancy Sinatra sings the "Dance of the Hours' in his song titled "Like I Do"...

The cover is just like the Phillips Records logo.

A swedish artist named Cornelis Wreesvijk has also done a version of this song, and his version is very well-known in sweden, a true classic! This one is a lot catchier though :-)

Thanks!

To be precise, his name is Cornelis Vreeswijk and he was Dutch. However, he moved to Sweden in his teens and became a huge star there, writing and singing his rebellious songs in Swedish. He also had a few Dutch-language hits in Holland, but nothing like his success in Sweden.

Yes correct! Sorry for the misspelling and not mentioning he is a dutchman, but here in Sweden we think of him as a swede :-) He was actually together with my mothers cousin, Anita Strandell :-) He has made a great impact on swedish singer/songwriters and today you can see lots of swedish artists that are inspired mostly by him!
