THE SHANGRI-LAS - I CAN NEVER GO HOME ANYMORE
this song is amazing, there is so much going on in it: the intro which then changes into another song, brilliant backing vocals, the sad, bad, glad motif, the mothers lullaby and the heartbreaking ending. what a song!

Though it's hard to choose (and subject to change), this is one of my fave Shangri-Las songs.

I have to second that.
This is one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful songs ever and the best Shangri-La's song, although there is some stiff competition from "past, present, future" and "remember walking in the sand".
