MARI WILSON - JUST WHAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED
an amazing pop masterpiece from the early 80's and one of my fave songs from my childhood!

Gah, that's eerie; I was singing along to Soft cell's cover of 'What!' on the way to work this morn, and was thinking about the corresponding video, in which Mari plays herself. The eerie synchronicity!

Wow, I haven't heard that in decades. And I still think of the chorus every once in a while. Good one!

Thanks so much. This is a great step back in time.

Awesome! I loved her whole album, "Showpeople". A ton of terrific Tot Taylor tunes! Mordi...do you have any of her early, hard-to-find singles like "Beat the Beat" or "Dance Card"? Never heard them, but love the titles. Speaking of which, Allmusic lists an album I've never seen called "My Long Playing Gift to the Nation." That HAS to be the best album title ever.
