new doll alert!

as you know, i only post on here when i'm really feeling something - so i need to share this with you- introducing lia pamina. a spanish singer with a genuine adoration of all the things we love - 60s girl pop. her voice is great - like a modern day jeanette or claudine. here are a few videos of her to check out. 'how come i' was written for by roger gunnarson (sally shapiro, cloetta paris) - there is also a spanish version (como es). also check out 'party in the night' (my personal fave) and 'kingdom of heaven'.

Hi, Mordi!
Hadn't heard of Lia, so what a nice surprise to find a new 'doll' to listen to; she's great :) Elefant records has a lot of neat music to offer, I've found.

On another note, I've been listening to Nána Mouskouri a lot lately; her French recordings are really beautiful to me :)

I hope you are doing well, Mordi.. and thank you for sharing some new music with us, I'm gonna go check out some more of Lia's lovely sounds!

Take care :) ~Darby

Hi Darby, good to hear from you. Elefant loves the retro vibe! :)
I will check out some french Nana - have you any particular recommendations?

Adieu, Angélina
Au cœur de Septembre
Robe bleue, robe blanche and the rest of the tracks from Nána's 1967 album 'Le jour où la colombe' is what I've been enjoying in particular :)

Hey Mordi! I just re-checked your blog after a hiatus from my favorite ye-ye girl blogs. I am the record collector who shared my Chantal Kelly "Caribou" song ripps a few years ago. As always, I was in for a treat. This is such a good find! I am speechless listening to this on this rainy day in Vienna.

Keep up the great posts!
