14 comment(s):

great song... but i can download it as I keep getting redirected to some stupid 'zwinky' advert page that you cant skip!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 27 January, 2008 14:40

how weird- that never normally happens- i'll re-upload it and see if that solves the problem

By Blogger mordi, at 27 January, 2008 18:41

if any ads come up- just click in the top right corner 'skip this ad' to get to the download

By Blogger mordi, at 27 January, 2008 18:44

The Zwinky hijack page doesn't offer a "skip this page" or return path to the download page (unlike other Zshare ad interstitials). Since there's a 20-second mandatory wait on the last page to get the exact download link, there's no way to avoid Zwinky. Grrrr.

Yeah! Great to have a FG week! Are you gonna post some early '70 songs?, those are really hard to find:
Baci, Baci, Baci
Caméléon, Caméléon
C'est Cela L'amour
C'est Curieux De Vieillir
Cet Homme Est Fou
Donne-moi Ma Chance, Je Ne Boirai Plus
La Manille Et La Révolution
La Torpédo Bleue
L'hiver Est Mort
Le Lâche
Les Années Folles
Les Éléphants
Les Gens Bien Élevés
Les Quatre Éléments
Merry, Merry O!
Ne Cherche Pas À Plaire (Avec Mireille Darc)
Par Plaisir
Plus Haut Que Moi
Shakespeare Et Pire Encore
Soleil Au Coeur

To "anonymous" : You forgot these following songs in the early 70's list :
Homme tout petit
Les petits ballons
5 minutes d'amour
La 4ème chose
L'amour boiteux
Mon aéroplane

I have all these songs on CD but to be honest i have never heard of "Cet homme est fou" & "Je ne boirai plus".
Anyway i have a clear preference for "Les gens bien élevés" (the lyrics are excellent) , "Chasse-neige" & "C'est cela l'amour" which is so optimistic that it makes you happy :-)

Love 'Cet air-la'; it gets heavy rotation on my .mp3 player.

If I had to cast a vote for preferred Mme.Gall songs, it would be her German material. That is, if you were accepting votes. :-)

As always, keep up the fab work, Mordi!

these are the fg songs that i DONT have:

Caméléon, Caméléon

C'est Curieux De Vieillir
Cet Homme Est Fou
Donne-moi Ma Chance, Je Ne Boirai Plus
Le Lâche
Merry, Merry O!
Par Plaisir
Plus Haut Que Moi
Soleil Au Coeur
L'amour boiteux
Mon aéroplane

if anyone can help me out- my email address is on the left hand side bar!

keep an eye out for at least 2 70's tracks and one german this week.

perhaps i need to specialise and do a fg 70's week sometime soon

"Donne-moi ma chance", "je ne boirai plus" & "Cet homme est fou" comes in a 7" single from 1970 by "LA COMPAGNIE", but Im not sure if it's a FG record. Unfortunately, the site Douce France Gall has no longer his-res covers to read (it used to).
I didn't list those songs 'cos I have them. I agree the "Chasse-neige" & "C'est cela l'amour" are excellent. "Frankenstein" by gainsbourg is great too. with a weird video in youtube.
if someone coul mail me those songs i'll be :). xaulo@yahoo.com

Donne-moi ma chance is a collective record by all the artists on La COmpagnie, the label FG was on in 1970, so presumably she's on it along with all the others. It's a cover of Give Peace a Chance. I don't think it ever got a commercial release - the only copies I'm aware of are promos.

à Romain: est-ce possible d'avoir l'ensemble des chansons que tu possède de France Gall (période début des années 70) en MP3?
Merci d'avance
