MAMAS AND THE PAPAS - I CALL YOUR NAME
when asked to imagine the man that she was singing about when recording this, cass whispered "john....john" (meaning john lennon) and if you listening closely at 1.26 you can hear it! she had quite a crush on him. great song too.

SAMANTHA JONES - COME TO ME SLOWLY

margo covered - thursday
CLAUDINE LONGET - I DON'T INTEND TO SPEND CHRISTMAS WITHOUT YOU
ok ok so i realise this song seems slightly out of season- but because it is genuinely a fantastic song, it means that it can be played any time of year. claudine also covered 'think of rain' but out of those 2 choices- this is her best margo cover.
don't forget that loveclaudine
still updates regularly!

MARIE LAFORET - ET SI JE T'AIME
her wibbly vocals and a change of language turns 'sunday morning' into this true doll essential. (recorded in 1968)

SPANKY AND OUR GANG - SUNDAY MORNING
this 60's folk pop group add their hippy harmonies to this ace track. (you can hear why spanky ended up filling in for cass elliot when the mamas and the papas toured after cass died)
